Create an account, talk to your assistants as usual, and see what Custodian saw. The trial stops by itself after 50 messages: 25 of yours and 25 replies. No card, no email address, nothing shared with anyone.

Create your trial account

Choose a username that is not your real name or your email. Custodian never asks who you are.

Username 3 to 64 characters: lowercase letters, numbers, dots, dashes or underscores. Password At least 12 characters, with an uppercase letter, a lowercase letter, a digit and a symbol. Repeat the password

Save the username and password in a password manager. Because Custodian keeps no email address, a lost password cannot be reset: you would create a new account.

Step 2

Install one of the two

The browser extension, for ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Microsoft Copilot in Chrome, Edge or Brave:

Download the extension

Unzip the file into a folder you will keep.
Open chrome://extensions (or edge://extensions), switch on Developer mode, choose Load unpacked, select the folder.
Click the Custodian icon, sign in, switch on Capture my AI chats.

The connector, for Claude Code, Codex CLI, GitHub Copilot CLI and Antigravity. macOS and Linux:

Then custodian login and custodian on: from then on it sends once a day by itself. What it reads.

Step 3

Talk, then look

Use your assistants as usual. The extension sends once a day, or when you press Send now; the connector when you run custodian send. A few minutes after the first upload your dashboard shows the first results, and it refreshes after every upload until the 50 messages are reached.

What is collected, and what is not

The trial runs on the same service, with the same rules, as a paid plan.

Collected

What you write to the assistant and what it answers, while capture is on, up to 50 messages.
The time, the name of the assistant, and the conversation it belongs to.
Your username and a password hash, to sign you in.

Not collected

Any other website, tab, file, keystroke or screen. From coding tools, no code, files or commands.
Anything while capture is paused, or in a chat you excluded.
Your name or email address. Custodian never asks for them.

What happens to it

On arrival, names, emails, phone numbers, addresses, card and ID numbers, links and places are replaced before storage.
A model reads the de-identified text to estimate mental states and to rate the assistant's replies. It is not a medical device and it does not diagnose.
Only you see your dashboard. You can download everything, or erase the account and all its records, by yourself.
